DoD Risk Management Framework

The DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a set of guidelines that the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has designed and implemented to manage information security risks in the Department's systems. This framework provides a structured, flexible process for managing the security and privacy risks associated with the operation and use of information systems and technology by identifying and assessing risks, implementing appropriate security controls to mitigate them, and continuously monitoring and improving information security.
